Tax Global Warming - spread a simple concept
Money Talks. Make Everyone Listen.
This is important. Taxing is a powerful way to deal with things we don't like. We do not like Global Warming. So tax it. Any kind of taxing will do. It should cost extra money to continue to warm the planet.
It can be a corporate tax incentive for research, a tax abatement for new business, a sales tax on high carbon goods or services or even a value-added tax on commerce. Or a tax on any kind of stupid consumption. Governments should consider anything - but just Tax Global Warming. Now. Spread the word.
The single most important policy that could be implemented would be a carbon tax ..."so that those who don't pay the price for carbon don't have an advantage over those who do." - Al Gore Jan, 2008
Right now many legislators are trying to work out a cumbersome, "Cap-and-Trade" policy to limit CO2. This nice idea is difficult to setup, hard to police and costly to fund a market. Until it gets working, taxing global warming will swiftly and effectivly limit CO2, and motivate industry to change. Our government councils can figure out how to best remove the barriers to efficiency and reform and restructure taxes. Because every community, every state and nation will have a different solution. But they should just Tax Global Warming. That is their job - to help citizens meet the future. They know how to write tax code. Just Tax Global Warming.
This is not a political stance. This is not a message from Republicans or Democrats or Independents. It is an appeal to stop the destruction of our planet by taxing it severly. Tax Global Warming. Ask your government to be stewards to your future. Until we all escape from taxes, then just: Tax Global Warming - now. Something is broken and we want it fixed.

Tax Global Warming
Restructure the tax system. There may be no need to ADD taxes, but restructuring is a smart and urgent idea supported by economists. Discuss the idea with others, talk about it at church, in schools, in your community. Help spread this idea, send emails, print posters...lets get moving.
